DriveRite Tarmac Rally-X : Approaching The Final Challenge

“The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change” – This quote from Heraclitus, a Greek Philosopher, is indeed fitting of the DriveRite Tarmac Rally-X Series. With the completion of Round 2 ( “Clockwise Mastery”) and Round 3 (“Anti-clockwise Mastery”) of the Series, the team from DriveRite will once again delight participants with an exciting change of format for the final round (“Challenging Stage”) on 25 October 2015 at the Malacca International Motorsports Circuit (MIMC).

A New SUV Class was in place to encourage more SUVs to try out the track.

Previously in Round 3 …

Anti-clockwise Mastery” was introduced to provide participants, especially the regulars, with a refreshing change. Changing the circuit direction to Anti-clockwise provided participants with a new perspective of the track, almost as if they were driving in an entirely new circuit.  Participants had the luxury of time on the circuit to perfect their racing lines and better their own timings.

The crew from Flaming Wheels providing the solution to the participants’ and supporters’ hunger and thirst!

Instructors from Grip Academy were also on hand to provide guidance to drivers new to track driving, as well as to demonstrate fundamental track driving techniques. In addition, QSTARZ lap timers were also deployed to provide accurate lap timings and to help participants keep track of their progress throughout the day. And for the first time in the series, Flaming Wheels, the food truck, was there to take care of the participants’ hunger and thirst!

IMG_8618One highlight of the event was the “F Tuned Racing Ride-Along Experience”. This experience provided a rare insight into Malaysian motorsports technology in action. It was also intended to mark the official launch of F Tuned Racing Suspension Systems for the Singapore market by SP Line Trading. To showcase the comprehensive line-up of F Tuned Racing Suspensions Systems (from Comfort to Race-spec) and demonstrate their capabilities – a diverse fleet of F Tuned Racing-equipped cars provided “hot laps” around the circuit during lunch break.

The “Anti-clockwise Mastery” was a big hit with participants, and Event Organiser DriveRite would like to extend special thanks to those who contributed to the success of the event in one way or another: The Sponsors, SP Line Trading for Whiteline; Ducatus by Unicla International Pte Ltd; N Sports N Brake by N Powered Pte Ltd and F Tuned Racing. Official Media REV Magazine, Supporting Media CLUTCHED and Automoment. Technical Specialists from Whiteline, SK Garage and instructors from Grip Academy.

What can we expect from the upcoming Round 4?

After three successful rounds, DriveRite will be hosting the final round for 2015 at MIMC: The “Challenging Stage”.  The final round will consist of a combination of the features from the previous rounds. There will be a total of 3 Special Stages: Stage A, B and C.

Stage A – Standing start followed by a total of 2 laps, clock & anti-clockwise – back-to-back, solo runs

Stage B – Standing start followed by a total of 4 laps, clockwise

Stage C – Standing start followed by a total of 4 laps, anti-clockwise

IMG_8453With the use of alternating track directions, introduction of standing starts and solo runs, the “Challenging Stage” promises to be an exhilarating finale for the DriveRite Tarmac Rally-X Series.
